COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE
We are encouraging the community to lend any uniforms, radios, lamps, or other items from the WWII era and lots of bamboo to add to the authenticity of the production.

“We are excited to announce that we will once again have Dr. Ardith Morris as Director, Ken Futterer as Musical Director, and Ashley Davis as Choreographer. The expert and experienced services of these, plus many others behind the scenes are critical to the professional quality of the performances,” said Betty LaGrone, Arts Center executive director.

Arts Center Hosts Two Exhibits in May

Professional photographer Steve Newby’s exhibition will open Sunday, May 3 with a reception from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The exhibition entitled “Couples” will feature recent photographs of area residents. Many people will recognize their family, friends or neighbors in this exhibition.

The public is invited to meet Steve, listen to his gallery talk and have an opportunity to ask questions about his work.

A second exhibition of works by the art students of Marlene Kuras will also open at the same time. Kuras is the 7th grade art teacher in Russellville Public Schools. This exhibit is open to the public as well as students, parents, family and friends. Show your support for these young artists by attending and visiting with them.

The Sunday Funday will feature creative activities centered around two May holidays Mother’s Day and Cinco de Mayo. An instructor and all supplies are furnished.
Hosts for the reception are Arts Center Board members Mary Clark, Robert Ford, and Dennis Overman. There is no cost for the reception or exhibitions and the public is invited.
